The Pebble is run by Annabelle and Simon Hunton, blow-ins from England who, having holidayed on the Cape for years, knew there was a gap in the market for a place that mixed the intimacy of a B&B with the service of a really good hotel. The result is a chic little eight-room inn with a swimming pool and sun loungers and an outdoor fireplace that is great for toasting marshmallows and drinking mulled wine around in winter. Unlike many inns, The Platinum Pebble Boutique Inn offers its gourmet breakfast – pastries, breads, yogurts, etc – in your room, for those who prefer a slower start to the day, and there’s a sitting room and a terrace by the pool where you can bring your own wine to quaff in the evenings.
