Hotel review 1117

The innkeepers, Mike and Stephanie, are truly wonderful people. They are warm, friendly and super helpful. Stephanie prepared amazing food and Mike gave us an itinerary for the day that allowed us to maximize our time in Cape Cod and enjoy a more local experience. In addition, this The Platinum Pebble Inn is located in the perfect location. We were able to walk to the beach and drink our coffee overlooking the ocean every morning. Another perk- Best coffee we had in the Cape came from the Inn! My husband and I will be back next year for sure.

Hotel Review | October 2017

Hotel ReviewWe recently decided to take a long weekend and visit Cape Cod. We were looking to stay at a bed-and-breakfast somewhere in the mid Cape area and after checking the reviews on TripAdvisor we selected the Platinum Pebble.

The Platinum Pebble far exceeded our expectations for a boutique in on Cape Cod. It was more like staying at a five star hotel. From the time that we walked through the front door of the Inn and met Stephanie, to the time we left and were getting hugs goodbye it felt like Stephanie and Mike were long lost friends… and not just the “Inn Keepers”.

Everything about our visit was perfect. Mike is the fantastic concierge, and has a vast amount of knowledge of the area. Not only did he share his insights about the local restaurants, but he was able to share his tips and tricks for navigating the Cape Cod bike trails.

It felt like Stephanie and Mike thought of everything from the gourmet breakfast in front of the fireplace in our room, to giving us a few extra water bottles for our bike trip.

The “bad news” we had to leave the Inn to return to “reality” … the good news is that we have something to look forward to when we return next Fall.

The moment you enter the lounge you fell this is a very special place. The hosts, Stefanie snd Mike are fantastic and the place itself is amazing. You have the best of both worlds- Cape Cod style house with modern and eclectic decor. Every little details and attention will make you smile (selfie stick in each room) and make you feel good (wine cellar in rooms!)

Only 5 blocks down (10 min walk) you reach a nice quiet beach! You wish to discover the Cape Cod Biking Trail, no problem the hosts will prepare the bikes for you. The Trail is 5 min from the Inn. We went to the beach and Stefanie had placed everything by our car (beach towels, umbrella, chair, etc).

Our room was large with a supersize bathroom. The bed was extra comfy (king). There is also a large swimming pool with a nice patio where you can enjoy a glass of wine.

Another activity idea, kayaking, is less than 5 min away. You can walk to almost everything. The location is perfect.

Stefanie and Mike are foodies and guided us to where the foodies eat on the Cape! Stefanie cooks amazing breakfast which was served to us on our private terrace. We had the Luxury Superior room. Very private, very specious.

Finally, we have been around the area a few times but I must say without a doubt this is a Wow factor! The best of the best! Thank you Stefanie and Mike. We are so happy we have discovered your place! We will return!

Hotel Review

When we received an invitation to a wedding at the Wychmere Beach Club, we started looking for a place to stay. Honestly, I was a little underwhelmed at my options at first. The rental homes were expensive and a little shabby looking…plus I didn’t want to deal with groceries and cooking. The hotels within a reasonable distance from the wedding venue weren’t that impressive as well. I was feeling a little discouraged about my search…until I found The Platinum Pebble Boutique Inn. Cozy, stylish, clean, well decorated, luxurious, etc. etc. THIS was what I envisioned when I dreamt of a quintessential Cape Cod vacation!

From the get-go (aka before we arrived), it was clear what type of service we could expect. I called to reserve the room and Mike was so patient and so friendly. The week before our trip, Stefanie called to go over our breakfast preferences and ensured we knew what to expect. They, and the inn, were both just as wonderful in person. The entire inn was gorgeous but our room exceeded all of our expectations. Everything was spotless, the bed was SO comfortable, and our recently renovated bathroom had a gigantic and spa-like shower. A gourmet breakfast, delivered to our room at a time of our choosing, was the most incredible way to start every day. As if all that wasn’t enough, Mike greeted us every day in the lobby with a big smile ready to give us tips and suggestions to see the best of what Cape Cod had to offer. Somehow, Mike and Stefanie manage to perfectly blend the professionalism of a 5-star hotel with the coziness and homey feeling of a quaint, Cape Cod Inn. I don’t know how they do it, but I’m grateful they do.

We would stay at the Platinum Pebble again in a heartbeat. The location was extremely central…we took day trips to Provincetown, Chatham, and Wellfleet with ease. It was also a short drive from Hyannis where we picked up the ferry for a day trip to Nantucket. I (clearly) can’t rave about our stay any more. Book your trip — you won’t regret it!

Hotel Review

We arrived in West Harwich 2 days after arriving from Ireland and were immediately given a very warm welcome by Hogan who showed us around the beautiful boutique inn. Everything is immaculately kept, clean, organised and inviting. There is a swimming pool and area for lying out and relaxing, a small tranquility area to the rear of the swimming pool and a lovely relaxing sitting room where you can make tea/coffeee etc.
Our room, both bedroom and bathroom were also immaculate, spacious and inviting. Hogan was an absolute delight, as was his wife Stefanie. Hogan was always on hand to offer advice and guidance about what to see and do in the area and nothing seemed too much effort in terms of researching anything we wished to know.
Breakfast is served either beside the pool or in the room and was always very tasty and freshly made.
The location is within walking distance of a couple of very nice restaurants and within a few minutes driving of many others. There is parking on-site.
The Platinum Pebble Boutique Inn is a place you will be sorry to leave. I would heartily recommend a stay here and hope to return as soon as possible.
Many thanks Hogan and Stefanie for your kindness and hospitality. You have a rare gem in The Platinum Pebble Boutique Inn. Thank you for sharing it with us.

UK TELEGRAPH TRAVEL – “FOUR OF THE BEST – CAPE COD INNS”

Best Cape Cod Inns

The Pebble is run by Annabelle and Simon Hunton, blow-ins from England who, having holidayed on the Cape for years, knew there was a gap in the market for a place that mixed the intimacy of a B&B with the service of a really good hotel. The result is a chic little eight-room inn with a swimming pool and sun loungers and an outdoor fireplace that is great for toasting marshmallows and drinking mulled wine around in winter. Unlike many inns, The Platinum Pebble Boutique Inn offers its gourmet breakfast – pastries, breads, yogurts, etc – in your room, for those who prefer a slower start to the day, and there’s a sitting room and a terrace by the pool where you can bring your own wine to quaff in the evenings.

So I will probably rave about this place many times as it is our new favorite in the Cape. I consider myself a self proclaimed expert on Cape Cod. I have been coming to the Cape since I was a child and introduced Kevin to the Cape in 2004. I think we have now seen and done all the touristy things. There is just a spirit in the air that brings us back to the Cape year after year and usually multple times throughout the year. I have stayed in hotels and B&B’s from Falmouth to Chatham and to this day nothing has measured up to The Platinum Pebble.

GUEST BLOG – PERPETUALLY CHIC

The Platinum Pebble Inn, an old sea captain’s house circa 1830’s, is a gem tucked away in Harwich, Mass. A completely renovated interior means floral wallpaper and frilly curtains were swapped with clean whites and modern decor that to us felt very much like home. With our own penchant for interior design, we appreciated the details of Annabelle and Simon’s work – from the unique lighting fixtures to the different tile selected for every bathroom. I also died for the dark wood floors and striped wallpaper.
